Biopharma wants to make new drug products more accessible and at the same time be able to quickly respond to changes in the way new drugs are produced and the variations in product demand. The industry is challenged to deliver truly flexible biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities with significant reductions in schedule, cost, and client operating resources.
To achieve these goals, design firms in the Life Sciences market are now capturing many of their best practices for flexible manufacturing into a prototype facility design where modular and other pre-engineered systems can be evaluated for use on a project. Peter Cramer, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, is the VP of Life Science Facility Design at Exyte with more than 25 years of industry-leading experience in preparing conceptual and basis of design documents for pharmaceutical and biologics clients. Mr. Cramer serves as lead process architect on wide range of facility types from lab scale research facilities to our industries largest production facilities. Past clients have included over 30 of today’s most successful and fastest growing life science companies.
A facility design subject matter expert and contributing member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), Peter is a thought leader who specializes in creating platform design aimed and integrating modular and pre-engineered technologies.
Mr. Cramer holds a Master’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami. Peter has LEED® AP accreditation and is affiliated with the American Institute of Architects and ISPE. Mr. Cramer is a frequent panelist and speaker for seminars and symposiums across the country.
