This presentation will present the purpose and activities of the Sustainable Facilities, HVAC and Controlled Environments COP. This includes collaborative meetings, papers written for the ISPE Magazine, participation in updates of ISPE Good Practice Guides, webinars and responding to questions on the ISPE “Blog”. Examples of current topics that being emphasized will be given, such as the recent update of the ISPE HVAC Good Practice Guide, decarbonization, energy reduction techniques, and new Eudralex Annex I requirements.

Biography:
Jim is a licensed mechanical engineer with extensive experience as a project manager and mechanical engineer. He has been responsible for the specification of mechanical equipment and design of HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems for industrial facilities. He has provided energy-efficient designs for HVAC systems serving a variety of spaces, including clean rooms, laboratories and specialized manufacturing processes. Jim has also designed central utility plants, including boilers, chillers, compressors, organic fluid vaporizers, and wastewater treatment systems. He also possesses experience in energy modeling comparing the efficiency of alternative HVAC concepts.
